The Museum of Flying in Santa Monica, California is pleased to announce the opening of a
significant new exhibit serving as the introductory element to the Museum’s Commercial
Aviation Gallery on the main floor. This permanent display will feature eight framed original
Douglas Aircraft Company photographic prints taken by Mr. Don Adams, a Douglas
photographer during the mid and late 1950s.
Please join us for an opening celebration to be held at the Museum on Saturday, September 16th
at 11:00 am. We are honored to have Mr. Adams join Museum Director Steve Benesch and
Curator Mike Machat to open this historic display of photos documenting the rich legacy of great
piston-powered Douglas skyliners which represented the pinnacle of commercial aviation years
before the Jet Age.
